Our current open positions are: Web and Java Software Engineer, Inventory Control and Production Planner, and Sr. Electronics/Computer Assembly Technician.

Web and Java Software Engineer

We are looking for a web and java software engineer to help design a high-performance web application for scientific and communication devices. You’ll work with a team of exceptionally bright software developers in a hands-on role doing all phases of software development. Projects will vary often as will team members of each project. You’ll use standard disciplined development methods such as source control and issue tracking but all our processes are fairly lightweight.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Familiarity with Web Application frameworks with emphasis on highly interactive, application-like user interfaces with high-speed real-time updates
  • Strong JavaScript and Java SE programming ability
  • Experience with the full stack of technologies that make up a Web Application, from the server-side back-end to client-side UI frameworks, push and pull communication approaches
  • React
  • Redux
  • CSS and HTML 5
  • Desirable additional components: redux-form, material-ui, node.js, Meteor
  • Multi-threaded design experience
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Willingness to capture requirements from sometimes sketchy specifications
  • Good written communication skills
  • 4 years of software industry experience
  • Four-year Computer Science degree

Inventory Control and Production Planner

NetAcquire’s Inventory Control and Production Planner position offers you the opportunity to participate in the planning and building of electronic assemblies for mission-critical aerospace applications that communicate with rockets, aircraft, and space vehicles!

This is an exempt, non-managerial position that involves extreme attention to detail, superior organization skills, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, issue, and control challenging material requirements and production schedules to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet strict production requirements.
  • Evaluate materials supply & demands and MRP schedules, and provide status reporting of work in progress, material availability, and risk analysis to identify potential production problems.
  • Incorporate manufacturing Bills-of-Materials (BOMs) into inventory systems; manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Purchase\create POs, monitor delivery, and manage allocation of components to ensure that manufacturing requirements are met.
  • Perform all activities relating to material receiving, storing, issuing, cycle counting, material handling, and shipping, including accurate recordkeeping and stringent controls on all inventory item transactions and physical movements.
  • Create work orders for the production requirements of internally manufactured systems.
  • Assemble kits for outsourced material manufacturing and internal system manufacturing.
  • Provide coordination with outside vendors for outsourced manufacturing activities.
  • Identify and control the flow of non-conforming material.
  • Conduct the inventory count program for all parts, work in process, and finished goods.
  • Evaluate suppliers for adequate quality management system and other the performance criteria.
  • Create, write, and modify manufacturing procedures and work instructions related to the above activities.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations to the overall planning process consistent with continuous improvement goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Recent manufacturing experience in planning, input/output control, bills of materials, routing, inventory management, and purchasing
  • Electronics industry experience with knowledge of electronics products and manufacturing process
  • Electronic component knowledge, including part types and substitutions
  • Working knowledge of both automated and manual MRP planning control systems, with an understanding of nested bills of materials
  • Read and understand technical documents
  • Strong Windows application computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
  • Excellent written/verbal communications skills
  • Effective at arbitrating and optimizing needs of multiple departments including Quality, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement processes
  • Ability to lift at least 20lbs and walk/stand for extended periods of time

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Degree in a business, accounting, or engineering related field, or equivalent education or experience
  • Aerospace experience and familiarity with processing circuit card assemblies and electronic box assemblies
  • Knowledge/exposure to AS9100 or ISO 9001
  • Understanding electronic schematics and PCB assembly drawings, as well as processing/manufacturing constraints and techniques for electronics products
  • Knowledge of industry standard assembly practices
  • APICS certification
  • MISys MRP experience
  • Microsoft Access database familiarity

Sr. Electronics/Computer Assembly Technician

We’re looking for a technician to support production, fabrication and integration of electronics products. Fabrication will include assembling a wide variety of PC-like computers from components, building cables, soldering, and minor metalwork. Electronics integration will include conducting electronic tests with meters and oscilloscopes, installing software, and running software tests on systems and subassemblies.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Proficiency in the construction of electronic hardware and equipment
  • Ability to do fine-pitch soldering and rework
  • Use of hand tools for crimping, etc
  • A working knowledge of electronic circuitry and the ability to read a schematic
  • Diagnostics/repair skills including use of multimeters and oscilloscopes
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office – especially Word, Excel and Access
  • Ability to lift at least 30 lbs
  • Ownership of a vehicle for short trips for local components pick up or delivery
  • Good communications skills
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance

Additional responsibilities include customer field installation and technical support. Understanding of computer networking (e.g. Ethernet and TCP) and software programming are desirable, as well as the ability to quickly learn about complex systems, equipment, and components. Due to government regulations, the position must be filled by a U.S. citizen.
